Our parents and friends association is known as FoLPS (Friends of Lyneham Primary School).
The purpose of FoLPS is to advance the education of pupils in the school by:
- developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;
- engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
FoLPS organise lots of fun activities for children, families and the community to support the school and to meet their fundraising aims. Please join our Facebook group to find out more.
Over recent years, events have included: Discos, Film Nights, Christmas and Summer Fayres, Cake Sales and Coffee Mornings, Pop-Up Gift Shops, and we even brought the Circus to town!
Through the generosity of our school community, FoLPs have been able to award the school a large donation so that a projector, screen and audio-visual equipment for the New Hall can be purchased and installed. Following our AGM, we have decided on our next large fundraising project: a running track! Throughout the year, FoLPS also fund other smaller purchases and activities, which in previous years have included Christmas pantomimes and resources to enhance the children’s learning.
Your FoLPS Committee for this year:
Chair: Annette Smith
Treasurer: Jess Norriss
Secretary: position vacant
Plus support at events and meetings by other non-voting volunteers.
All parents, teachers and staff are automatically members of FoLPS, and are very welcome to join in with events, activities or planning (without needing to become a committee member).
Help can be on an adhoc or a regular basis, helping out at an event or coming up with new ideas. We aim for each family to help at one event a year for just half an hour as a minimum; we look forward to hearing from you!
