Parent Support Adviser
Our Parent Support Adviser (PSA) is Terry Jones.
Terry holds coffee mornings at the school and is frequently here to talk about parenting and share different ideas and strategies that she has learnt overthe course of her career. Terry is a wealth of knowledge and is highly regarded by all the staff, children and parents who talk with her. If you find yourself experiencing difficulties such as encouraging your children to eat their vegetables, Terry has a trick up her sleeve. We sometimes recommend that parents talk with Terry and many of our parents have built strong and trusting relationships with her. Terry is there to help you do the most difficult job in the world, parent, so please feel free to get in touch or come along to one of her coffee mornings for a chat.
Terry can be contacted through the school office.
News - April 2021
Terry is holding combined sessions in May on the following topics:
Helping Your Child Manage Anxiety
Positive Behaviour Strategies
Anxiety is a growing concern for many young people who are trying to make sense of the issues that affect their lives and over which they feel little control. It is a real, personal, manageable and, possibly, positive emotional and physical aspect of their lives. It can be a challenge to manage your child’s behaviour, which results from the anxiety.
Join us to identify and build coping skills, to recognise the positive aspects of anxiety and develop a few strategies to help all feel less anxious and frustrated.
These sessions will run during May and are for 30-45 minutes a week via Zoom online. No childcare, no travelling and no parking problems, just you, your cuppa and a friendly space.
To register your interest and receive the Zoom Link and Materials please contact the Admin Office Team on firstname.lastname@example.org or Terry Jones directly on email@example.com
